schoon den boer PR was founded in 2011 by Jan Schoon (1980) and Martijn den Boer (1969). Both Jan and Martijn have years of experience in (fashion) PR. During their careers, they built a large network in the media- and the fashion and design industry.
With schoon den boer PR, they concentrate on strategically generating publicity for (design-driven) fashion brands in the middle and high segment.
Jan Schoon started his career in PR and communications working for the Arnhem Mode Biennale editions 2005 and 2007. He went solo in 2008, doing PR for designers like Alexander van Slobbe and Francisco van Benthem, Henrik Vibskov, Monique van Heist, the Co-lab initiative and men’s fashion newcomer Hyun Yeu. Jan Schoon defined himself by his strong design-driven portfolio and his intimate pop-up press happenings.
Martijn den Boer comes from a professional background in styling and forecasting, working for Nederlands Mode Instituut and renowned agencies such as Kees van de Valk Styling and Design. He took his A-list network to do PR at Never on Wednesday. Later on he worked at House of Orange agency for hair, make-up and styling and Jan Taminiau. Martijn brings in his vast understanding of the fashion industry as well as his effortless and elegant way of communicating.
In August 2011 the schoon den boer PR showroom and office opened in the historical centre of Amsterdam, presenting designer-driven fashion and lifestyle brands. Their carefully built portfolio, concentrates on the synergy with the client, their heritage, atmosphere and stories; elements they strategically use to inspire the press. Great contacts with off- and online media and an inside-out way of thinking makes them an inspiring and powerful partner in generating publicity.
